Graduation with a Diploma or Certificate of Technology from any accredited program in Canada gives the graduate access to credential portability under several international agreements, including the Sydney and Dublin Accords and NAFTA
For ITPs who have not graduated from accredited technology programs in Canada, membership in a professional association such as ASTTBC should serve as equivalency, given that ASTTBC’s certification process guarantees that registered members have the educational requirements to meet the conditions of the subject accord or agreement.
